FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE AND INAGURATION CEREMONY

 A MEMORABLE START - COLLEGE OPENING DAY

The first day of college is always special, and for me, it was no different. Sabarigiri College of Education welcomed its new batch of aspiring educators with warmth and enthusiasm as the first-year B.Ed. classes commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony. This event marked the beginning of what promises to be a transformative journey—one aimed at equipping us to become not just effective teachers but also changemakers in the field of education. For the college, this inauguration was a significant milestone, symbolizing the foundation laid for shaping the next generation of educators with dedication and vision.

The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by our Chairman, Dr. V.K. Jayakumar, whose inspiring words resonated deeply with all of us. He reminded us of the responsibility and privilege that comes with being a teacher, urging us to strive for greatness in our chosen profession. Our Principal, Roy Sir, then extended a heartfelt welcome to the new batch, emphasizing the college’s unwavering commitment to excellence in teacher education. His words made us feel both valued and motivated as we prepared to embark on this academic journey. As part of the proceedings, Roy Sir also introduced us to all the faculty members, each of whom seemed approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate about teaching. Their presence reassured us that we were in the right place to learn and grow. Seniors distributed sweets as a gesture of  welcome and love. Here’s to a great start and an even greater journey ahead!

 A study tour is an educational trip organized to give students real-world exposure, allowing them to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experiences. It involves visiting places of educational, historical, and cultural significance, making learning more engaging and meaningful. Our 5-day study tour from 3rd April to 8th April was a memorable journey filled with learning, exploration, and bonding. Study tours hold great significance during B.Ed training, as they offer future teachers the chance to observe diverse teaching methods, visit educational institutions, and interact with different communities.
