UNION INAUGURATION AND KERALA PIRAVI CELEBRATIONS

 UNION AND ARTS CLUB INAUGURATION 2024-25

The inauguration of the Union and Arts Club of Sabarigiri college of Education, was held on November 1, 2024 in college General hall. The program was conducted by college union members and started at 10:00 AM. The program was welcomed by anchors Ammulekshmi and Akshara, starting with a prayer sung by Aiswarya, followed by welcome dance performed by me(Arathi). Our guests were Dr. Jayakumar and Vineeth Elamadu, known for his role in Flowers Comedy Utsavam. Dr. Roy G, our principal, delivered the welcome speech. Dr.V.K.Jayakumar, founder and chairman of the Sabarigiri Group, lit the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony, accompanied by Roy Sir, Miss Sreedevi , guest Vineeth Elamdu, Chairperson Unnimaya, General Secretary Anju and Arts Club Secretary Soorya. Jayakumar Sir shared a few words and our Chairperson spoke about our union, announcing the name "DRUTA" and unveiling the logo. The Arts Club inauguration was conducted by Vineeth Elamadu, who captivated us with his discussions on poetry, literature and the arts. He also entertained us with performances imitating some famous celebrities. He concluded the program by reciting a poem and singing a song that emphasized the importance of equality a unity. We honored him with a memento. Felicitation was done by Soorya and Anju. Miss Sreedevi, delivered a speech on the significance of our union and shared her thoughts. The vote of thanks was given by Silla Theresa, our vice chairperson. After that, various entertainment acts took place: a song by Ashna, a dance by Soorya and Shifina, a dance by Ashna and Akshaya, a group song by Aiswarya, Pooja and Jerin and final group song by the English department students. The program concluded happily and joyfully at 1:30 PM. There was delicious food arranged for all.

DRUTA Union 


KERALA PIRAVI CELEBRATION
As November 1 is Kerala Piravi, commemorating the formation of Kerala in 1956, the Social Science department arranged a program named 'Kelikott' to celebrate it. The program started at 2:45 PM and included quiz competition, Malayali Manka and Sreeman competition. The winners of the quiz were Ameena and Me(Arathi). The Malayali Manka competition was a lot of fun with our teachers Sreedevi miss, Meenu miss, Revathy miss and Shamla miss asking questions to the 16 participants. There were two rounds, with the second round featuring more IQ-testing questions. The winner of the Malayali Manka competition was Anamika from Mathematics department, while the Sreeman winner was Aravind from physical Science department. It was a whole new experience and very interesting. Our teachers crowned Anamika and presented Aravind with sreeman memento. The quiz winners also received prizes from the teachers. The program concluded at 4 PM.
