 ENHANCING DIGITAL LITERACY

In today's digital age, blogging has become a powerful medium for self-expression, communication, and creativity. A blog, short for weblog, is an online journal or platform that allows individuals to share their ideas, experiences, and expertise with a global audience. Recognizing the importance of this skill, our college organized a Blog Writing Preparation Class on October 16th, as part of the B.Ed. curriculum.

The session, conducted under the guidance of the Education Technology Department, began at 1:30 PM, following the lunch break. The program was inaugurated by our principal, Dr. Roy G., who emphasized the growing significance of blogging in education, marketing, and journalism. He highlighted how blogs serve as a space for creativity and reflection, providing opportunities to develop communication skills. The session was expertly handled by Revathi Miss, who guided us through the essentials of blog creation and editing. She introduced us to Blogger, a popular blogging platform, and provided a step-by-step demonstration on creating posts, adding multimedia elements like pictures and videos, and embedding links to enhance the functionality of our blogs.

Revathi Miss shared invaluable tips for effective blog writing, focusing on clarity, creativity, and conciseness. Her interactive approach kept the session engaging and ensured that all participants gained hands-on experience. She also emphasized the importance of using blogs as a medium to showcase our unique voices, reflect on our thoughts, and share our skills and knowledge with a broader audience.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Unnimaya, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to Revathi Miss and the Education Technology Department for their efforts in organizing the session.

This informative session not only introduced us to the technical aspects of blogging but also highlighted its benefits as a platform for self-expression and skill development. Blogging encourages thoughtfulness, creativity, and the ability to connect with others in meaningful ways. By enabling us to record, reflect, and share our ideas, blogs serve as a versatile tool for personal and professional growth.

This program was a valuable addition to our curriculum, equipping us with a practical skill that is both relevant and empowering in the digital era.

  TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE January 30,2025 As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.
