A VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL AND REHABILITATION CENTER

VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE

January 30,2025

As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.

The program began with a song performance by one of the students, which we all enjoyed and applauded. One student, Appu, was very active and energetic, not worrying about his disabilities.  Some small children from the nearby Anganwadi also joined us, making the event even more joyful. From our side, Ashna, Pooja, Aiswarya, and Joyce sang beautiful songs for them. Soorya kept the energy high by interacting with the students and keeping them engaged. A talented student played the piano gracefully, while Shilpa among them amazed us with her cinematic dance, full of energy and grace. Another student, Sharath, impressed us by confidently reciting all the states and their capitals, followed by a beautiful poem. Many others also showcased their hidden talents. As a token of love, we distributed sweets, books, sketches, and crayons to the children. The most heartwarming moment was when we danced together, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and togetherness. Shyni Miss, the head teacher, spoke about her inspiring journey and dedication to the students, which deeply motivated us as B.Ed. trainees. Our Prathibha Miss also shared a few kind words. As we concluded the program, the farewell was filled with sweet goodbyes, handshakes, and flying kisses from the children—leaving us with hearts full of love and unforgettable memories.

A day of joy
