NSS SECERTARY SELECTION AND WAYANAD RELIEF FUND COLLECTION THROUGH LOTION CHALLENGE

On September 4, 2024, Sabarigiri College of Education organized two meaningful programs: the selection of NSS Volunteer Secretaries and the launch of the Lotion Challenge Campaign to support families affected by the Wayanad landslides. Aravind Ranjith and Anju A were appointed as the new NSS Secretaries, taking on the responsibility of leading future social service activities. This event reflected the college’s commitment to fostering volunteerism and community engagement among its students.

The Lotion Challenge Campaign, guided by NSS Coordinator Jaseena Ma’am, involved first- and second-year B.Ed students preparing handmade lotions to raise funds. Principal Dr. G. Roy inaugurated the campaign by purchasing the first bottle and distributing lotions to students and department representatives. The funds collected will be handed over to Kerala University NSS Mission to aid in rebuilding homes and supporting rehabilitation efforts in Wayanad. This initiative highlighted the college community's dedication to social responsibility and solidarity with those in need.

  TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE January 30,2025 As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.
