CELEBRATING WORLD STUDENTS' DAY: A tribute to education and empowerment

OCTOBER 15, 2024

On October 15, our college celebrated World Students' Day, a day dedicated to honoring Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and his commitment to education. The 2024 theme, "Empowering Students to be Agents of Change," emphasized the transformative power of education in fostering responsibility, perseverance, and societal change.

The program began with a prayer, creating a unifying and reflective start to the day. The event was graced by the presence of our principal, Dr. Roy G., along with teachers, staff, and teacher trainees, all gathered to acknowledge the importance of education in shaping future leaders. The first highlight of the event was a quiz competition conducted by Shamnad, featuring five enthusiastic teams from various departments. The lively competition tested the participants' knowledge and fostered teamwork and healthy rivalry, setting a dynamic tone for the day. Following the quiz, Jerin presented an engaging PowerPoint presentation that delved into the significance of World Students' Day. It shed light on the vital role students play in driving positive societal change and how education empowers them to become innovators and leaders. Adding a creative flair to the event, Shifana showcased a beautifully designed poster that encapsulated the theme of the day, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The event was meticulously organized and coordinated by our NSS officer, Jaseena Miss, whose guidance ensured the seamless execution of the program. Her dedication was instrumental in creating an environment that celebrated student achievements and potential. As the event concluded, a sense of camaraderie and inspiration prevailed among the participants. The celebration reinforced the message of Dr. Kalam’s vision—that students are not just learners but also catalysts for societal transformation. It was a day filled with learning, creativity, and the promise of a brighter future driven by education.
