International Mind-Body Wellness Day: A Celebration of Holistic Health

On January 3, our college NSS unit observed International Mind-Body Wellness Day in the general hall at 9:45 am. The event aimed to emphasize the integral connection between mental and physical health, promoting a balanced approach to wellness.
The program began with Prathibha anchoring the session, welcoming everyone with enthusiasm. Anju introduced the theme of the day, elaborating on its relevance in today’s fast-paced world. Gloriya highlighted the significance of maintaining harmony between mind and body for overall well-being, while Malavika delved into the historical background of International Mind-Body Wellness Day and its global recognition. A vibrant PowerPoint presentation by Bishnuja offered visual insights into various mind-body practices such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. Haseena’s creatively designed poster added to the event’s aesthetic appeal, capturing the essence of the day. The quiz session, conducted by Akshara, engaged the audience actively. The participants were from each department :Ammu Lekshmi, Amrutha, Pooja, Anupama and me. Quiz master tested our knowledge of wellness practices and encouraging lively interaction. The event successfully brought attention to the importance of nurturing both mental and physical health, leaving attendees inspired to adopt wellness practices in their daily lives.
