REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION AT SABARIGIRI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

On January 27, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Traditionally observed on January 26, the celebration was held on the 27th this year as the 26th fell on a Sunday.

The program commenced with Ashna, the anchor, warmly welcoming the attendees and setting a vibrant tone for the event. The highlight of the program was a speech by Silla, who eloquently spoke about the significance of Republic Day, tracing its historical roots and emphasizing its relevance in contemporary times. Her address stirred a sense of pride and responsibility among the audience. The college principal took the stage next, delivering an inspiring speech that underscored the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The principal’s words served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the country’s freedom fighters and the importance of upholding the democratic ideals they fought for. A notable feature of the celebration was a video presentation showcasing the first Republic Day celebration of Independent India. This nostalgic journey through history captivated the audience, offering a glimpse into the grandeur and unity of the nation’s formative years. Adding a melodious touch to the event, a group of teacher trainees performed a patriotic song that resonated with the audience. Their soulful rendition evoked feelings of unity and love for the motherland. The celebration also included a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the achievements of India since becoming a Republic. The visuals and facts presented were a testament to the country’s progress and its unwavering commitment to democracy. The event concluded with a spirited rally, where students and faculty marched together, waving flags and chanting slogans of patriotism. This activity symbolized the collective resolve to contribute to the nation’s growth and unity.

The Republic Day celebration at Sabarigiri College of Education was not just an event but a heartfelt tribute to the nation and its democratic values. It left everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and a commitment to uphold the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

  TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE January 30,2025 As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.
