EDUCATION THROUGH DRAMATIZATION -THEATRE ART WORKSHOP
A FUN FILLED THEATRE WORKSHOP
Januray 07,2025
On January 7,2024 at college general hall we held theatre workshop by Priyadha miss which teach us how to educate through drama and fun filled. The event was anchored by Arjun, and we were honored to have our Principal and Priyatha miss address us before the workshop began. The theatre workshop was an immersive experience that started with an action song that got everyone excited and engaged. We then moved on to a clap exercise that required us to follow a specific rhythm. The energy in the room was electric. Next, our miss asked each student to produce a sound with a corresponding action, and the rest of us had to imitate it. This exercise was hilarious and helped us loosen up. The workshop then moved on to a series of spontaneous acts performed by groups of two. These acts were incredibly creative and showcased the participants' imagination and talent. The final challenge was the most interesting one – our instructor divided us into five groups of nine members each and asked us to perform a skit using only gibberish language. The results were astounding, with each group coming up with a unique and entertaining skit. After the lunch break, another quick communication activity was given—using a single word, spaghetti, to convey any mannerism. It was fun and engaging. Then, Soorya, Shifana, Anju, Reeba, and Silla performed a one-act play on current social events. This was followed by a rejuvenation session where we all lay on the floor. With some music and guided words, we imagined ourselves growing from seeds into saplings and then into trees, dancing in the wind. After a session of self-reflection and a vote of thanks, the program concluded with a group photo. Overall, the theatre workshop was an unforgettable experience that taught us the value of creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. It was a powerful reminder that learning can be fun and engaging, and that dramatization can be a highly effective tool for education.
