 WORLD CANCER DAY CELEBRATION AT SABARIGIRI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

On February 4, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education observed World Cancer Day as part of the NSS initiative to spread awareness about cancer. The event was hosted by Stephy and Gloriya, who ensured a smooth flow of the program. Prathibha delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the significance of cancer awareness and early detection. This was followed by an insightful speech by Priyatha Miss, who highlighted the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures for various types of cancer. A detailed PPT presentation was conducted by Unnimaya, Lekshmi, Arjun, Malavika, and Haseena, where each student discussed a specific type of cancer. Unnimaya spoke about bone cancer, Lekshmi explained brain cancer, Malavika discussed breast cancer, Haseena covered lung cancer, and Arjun presented on stomach cancer. To visually reinforce the theme, Ammulekshmi organized a poster presentation that effectively conveyed key information about cancer prevention and treatment. A unique addition to the event was a mock doctor consultation desk, set up by Shifana and her team, which provided practical insights into the diagnostic and treatment process for cancer patients. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Silla, who expressed gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for making the event a success. The celebration effectively raised awareness about the importance of early detection, healthy living, and the need for collective efforts in the fight against cancer.

  TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE January 30,2025 As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.
