DRAMA FEST

DRAMA FEST 2025

On March 11, 2025, our campus was filled with excitement and creativity as each department came together for this year’s Drama Fest. As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, the event was held in the college general hall, where the stage was set up with special lights and microphones. Under the expert guidance of Priyatha Ma’am, the event became a powerful celebration of storytelling. Each performance carried a unique message.

The program was anchored by Silla, and the inauguration began with a welcome speech by the Union Chairman, Unnimaya. Prathibha Ma’am and Priyatha Ma’am shared their valuable insights on the importance of drama in education and society. Students from each department were well-prepared in their costumes, ready to present their plays. The order of performances was decided by drawing lots.

The first performance was by our Natural Science department. Our drama, titled Mrithasanjeevani, was based on raising awareness about organ donation. The plot revolved around four friends returning from a party when one of them met with an accident and was declared brain dead. The doctor explained the importance of organ donation to the victim’s mother and friends. In the end, by making the right decision, two other lives were saved. The characters were played by:

  • Pooja as the Mother
  • Arathi (myself) as Joseph
  • Ameena as Mohammed
  • Akshaya as Arun
  • Muhsina as the Doctor
  • Nuju as the Ward Boy and Lungs
  • Aparna as the Kidney
  • Arya as the Heart
  • Anuroop as the Eye

The English department presented a drama about Neerja, the brave Indian air hostess who helped passengers escape during a hijacking, sacrificing her own life in the process. Their performance was emotional and inspiring. The Mathematics department brought a fun-filled play titled Palace of Geometry, where different shapes, such as Rhombus, Rectangle, Trapezium, and Square, competed to marry Princess Quadrilateral. Their creative approach made learning math enjoyable.

The Physical Science department staged Hostel of Elements, where a warden and helper managed various elements like Sodium, Potassium, and Helium. Their play was both educational and entertaining. The Social Science department portrayed the French Revolution, bringing history to life. Their performance included King Louis XIV and his wife, depicting their downfall and execution in a dramatic manner.

Each performance stood out for its creativity, strong messages, and engaging storytelling. Some plays highlighted real-life incidents, while others added humor and fun to learning. The dedication and emotional depth of the actors made the stories even more impactful, leaving the audience moved and inspired. The Drama Fest was not just an event; it was an unforgettable experience that united us all through the magic of performance.
