 PI DAY CELEBRATION

On March 14, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education celebrated Pi Day with great enthusiasm. The NSS unit, along with the Mathematics department, organized the event. It was a day full of fun, learning, and creativity, bringing students and faculty together to explore the magic of mathematics.

The event started with an insightful talk by a professor on the history and significance of Pi . The talk explained its infinite nature and its deep connection to the world around us. This session sparked curiosity and excitement among the audience. Ashna served as the anchor for the event, and Ashwathy delivered the welcome speech. Jaseena Miss, the Principal, and Kripa also gave speeches about the importance of Pi Day. Their words inspired everyone and set the stage for the exciting activities ahead.

The first game of the day was "Guess the Mathematician." Two students from each department participated. Aparna and Nuju represented the Natural Science department, Gloria and Ammulekshmi represented the English department, Aiswarya and Alaka represented the Physical Science department, and Shamnad and Reeba represented the Social Science department. The Physical Science and Social Science departments won the game, and the Principal presented them with gifts. Other participants also received gifts as a token of appreciation. Anamika then presented a beautiful and informative poster on Pi. This was followed by a dance performance by Ashna, Kripa, and Amrutha, adding an artistic touch to the event.

The next major event was a treasure hunt. Riya gave instructions for the game. Two students from each department participated. Muhsina and I represented the Natural Science department, Devika and Jerin represented the Physical Science department, Akshara and Bishnuja represented the English department, and Vinitha and Anakha represented the Social Science department. The Social Science department emerged as the winners, and the Principal awarded them gifts.

The Pi Day celebration at Sabarigiri College of Education was a perfect blend of education and entertainment. It reminded everyone that mathematics is not just a subject but a fascinating world of discovery. The event concluded with a sense of achievement and a new appreciation for the wonders of Pi.

  TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE January 30,2025 As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.
