SARGADHWANI
The Arts Fest Sargadhwani was conducted at Sabarigiri College of Education, Anchal, on February 28, 2025, celebrating the artistic and cultural talents of student teachers. The event began with a prayer by Reeba, followed by anchoring by Pooja S. Anju, the General Secretary of the College Union, delivered the welcome speech, and a graceful welcome dance was performed by Akshaya, Soorya,Reeba and me. The festival was officially inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Jayakumar, Founder Chairman of the Sabarigiri Group of Institutions, with a presidential address by Dr. Roy. Felicitations were given by Prathibha Miss, Priyatha Miss, and Unnimaya, the Chairman of the College Union. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Soorya, the Arts Club Secretary. The judging panel included Geethu miss, Archana miss, and Priyatha miss.
The fest featured a variety of stage events, including light music, recitation in English, Malayalam, and Hindi, Nadanpattu, Deshabhakthiganam, monoact performances, Mappilapattu, and a group dance by student teachers. The Nadanpattu and Deshabhakthiganam competitions had enthusiastic participation from Fire, Water, and Earth houses. The non-stage events, conducted on February 25 and 27, included competitions in essay writing, story writing, poetry writing, and pencil drawing in both English and Malayalam. These events were judged by teachers from Sabarigiri State School.
The results saw Water House securing first place in Nadanpattu, followed by Fire House and Earth House. Earth House emerged victorious in the Deshabhakthiganam competition. The overall championship was claimed by Fire House with 55 points, with Water House and Earth House securing the second and third places, respectively.
I won second place in Malayalam recitation and participated in Nadanpattu for Fire House. Shamnad and Pooja S were honored with the prestigious Kalaprathibha title for their outstanding performances.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Principal, Dr. Roy, presented gifts to the judges. The Arts Fest Sargadhwani was a grand celebration of creativity and talent, leaving behind unforgettable memories for all participants. It showcased the dedication and enthusiasm of the student teachers, reinforcing the importance of arts and culture in education.
