 WEEK END REFLECTION - WEEK 1

We, the Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education, conducted our weekly meeting under the guidance of Sreedevi Miss based on our first phase of teaching practice. The Google Meet started at 7:30 pm and ended at 8:30 pm.

In this meeting, the teacher asked each of us, from different schools, to share our experiences. Ameena from GHSS Vayala started first. She shared both her good and bad experiences in the classroom. Then Muhsina, representing Punalur St. Goretti School, spoke about her school experience and mentioned that her classes are always monitored by her subject teacher. Next, it was my turn. I shared my classroom experiences, explaining that my 8th standard students are well-behaved and attentive, but I face some difficulties with the 9th standard students. Due to school programs and parents' meetings, I got only three periods in my concerned classes. After me, Pooja from Karavaloor School shared her experiences. Finally, Bhavana from VVHSS Poredom School shared hers.

Our teacher asked each of us about the completion of our lesson plans and other works. She also reminded us of the dates for submitting our upcoming diagnostic rough question paper and other works. Teacher helps us in writing the blog effectively. She gave us some valuable instructions to help improve our teaching practice and advised us not to get too emotionally attached to the students, as it might lead to issues later.

Finally, the teacher suggested an innovative idea of conducting peer observations — observing each other’s classes so that both trainees can improve together.

  TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. A VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL AND REHABILITATION CENTER

VISIT TO BUDS SCHOOL – A HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCE January 30,2025 As part of our NSS activities, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Buds School at Alayamon Panchayat. It was an enriching and entertaining experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. We, a group of 43 NSS volunteers along with our teachers Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Prathibha Miss, traveled to the school . We reached the school at 10:30 AM and were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers. Due to space constraints, we arranged the seating outside, ensuring a comfortable setup for all. Our friend Aravind introduced us to the students, and soon we learned about their remarkable achievements. Many of them had participated in Kalolsavam and won great honors, proving their exceptional talents.
