WEEKEND REFLECTION - WEEK 4

WEEKEND REFLECTION : WEEK 4

10/08/2025

Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education conducted our weekly reflection of the first phase of teaching practice on 10th August 2025, Sunday. The meeting was held online via Google Meet from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

The session began with each school’s representatives sharing their weekly reflections. First, Aparna presented her own and Pooja’s reflections from Karavaloor School. This was followed by Akshaya from Karukone School, who shared her week’s experiences in a positive manner. I also shared my classroom experiences for the week. Next, Muhsina and Nuju from St. Goretti’s School shared their reflections, mentioning the challenges they faced due to a recent change in their concerned classes. Arya and Bhavana from Poredom School then shared their classroom experiences, followed by Ameena from Vayala School, who presented reflections for herself and Anuroop.

After all presentations, our teacher, Sreedevi Miss, enquired whether diagnostic tests had been conducted in our respective schools. She gave detailed instructions to complete 20 lesson plans along with the respective reflective journals, and also advised us to carry out remedial teaching based on the evaluation of our diagnostic tests. We were reminded to inform our schools that we would be concluding our practice teaching by 16th August and to consult the concerned subject teachers regarding the remaining portions after the Onam break. Sreedevi Miss also stressed the importance of regular attendance in weekend reflection sessions and reminded those who had not yet completed peer reflections to do so promptly.

Overall, the session provided clarity on upcoming tasks, encouraged reflective sharing, and ensured that we are on track with our teaching practice requirements.
