DAY 2- COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP
Day 2 of Community Living Camp and NSS Camp
Date: 10-01-2026 (Saturday)
Day 2 of the NSS camp followed a well-organized
and disciplined schedule. The day began early at 5.30 am with wake up, followed
by tea at 5.45 am. From 6.15 am to 7.15 am, a Yoga/Zumba session was conducted,
which helped the volunteers stay active and refreshed. By 7.15 am, the
volunteers completed fresh up and had breakfast.
The morning assembly was held from 8.45 am to
9.30 am, along with a reflection session on the experiences of Day 1. At 9.30
am, a Community Health Camp (Jeevamrutham) was organized, hosted by Sabarigiri
Multi-speciality Hospital, Anchal. The programme was highly beneficial and
focused on improving community health awareness. Lunch was served from 1.00 pm
to 2.00 pm.
In the afternoon, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm, an
awareness class on snake bite, its primary treatment, prevention, and
precautions was conducted. The session was led by Liju Thajudeen, SFO and
District Facilitator of the Sarpa App, Kollam. The class was informative and
especially useful for the rural community. After this, a tea break and fresh up
were provided from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
Community prayer was held from 6.35 pm to 7.15
pm. The evening session included a Padam Padiyum programme from 7.30 pm to 8.30
pm, led by Vineeth Elamadu, who is famous for Flowers Comedy Utsavam. This
programme brought joy and entertainment to the volunteers. Cultural programmes
were conducted from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm, showcasing the talents of the
volunteers.
Dinner was served from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The
day concluded with lights off at 10.45 pm. Overall, the day was meaningful and
enriching, helping the volunteers develop discipline, awareness, teamwork, and
a sense of social responsibility.
