Weekend Reflection – Week 3 26 October 2025 The Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education, Anchal conducted an online weekend reflection meeting on 26th October 2025 from 11.00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. under the guidance of Sreedevi Miss. During the session, a discussion was held regarding the ongoing classes and the upcoming work submission dates. The teacher also gave instructions for conducting diagnostic and achievement test and reminded all trainees to complete the pending record works on time. The meeting helped clarify doubts and ensured better planning for the coming week.  

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 3: Monday (20/10/2025 ) and Saturday (25/10/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE Day 9-Monday, October 20th It was a holiday today for Diwali. Day 10-Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 We arrived at school around 9:30 AM, signed the attendance register, and took our seats in the staffroom. Second period I had concerned class 9B and I taught  Role of stomata, lenticels and cells in roots in gaseous exchange in plants.  Many teachers were busy organizing a tour for the 10th standard students, and a coordination meeting for the tour was held during the noon hour. For the 3rd period, I supervised the 7th standard students and took them to the ground for P.T. During the lunch break, we served lunch to the students. Later, in the 6th period, I took the 5B class to the library for a reading session. The entire day felt like chaos, filled with substitutions as many teachers were absent. Weekend Reflection – Week 2 ​20 October 2025 The Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education, Anchal conducted an online weekend reflection meeting on 20th October 2025 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. under the guidance of Sreedevi Miss. During the session, a discussion was held regarding the ongoing classes and the upcoming work submission dates. The teacher also gave instructions for the preparation of diagnostic and achievement test question papers and reminded all trainees to complete the pending record works on time. The meeting helped clarify doubts and ensured better planning for the coming week.

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 2: Monday  (13/10/2025 ) and Friday(17/10/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE  Day 4 – Monday, 13/10/2025 On the fourth day of my teaching practice, I reached the school by 9.20 am. There were junior trainees waiting for the Headmaster to begin their five-day induction programme. By 9.30 am, the Headmaster arrived, and I signed the attendance register. He asked me to help in the school kitchen as the menu for the day was chicken curry and fried rice, prepared for the entire school to celebrate the victory in the Science Fest. I was not alone; two UP teachers, Sanskrit teacher Ashwathy, and cooking staff Praseeda aunty were also helping. I assisted in chopping vegetables and squeezing lemons. I realized how hard it is for a single person to cook such a large quantity of food. In between, Akshaya also came and helped. Weekend Reflection – Week 1 ​12 October 2025 ​On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education conducted its weekly reflection meeting via Google Meet from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This session marked the first week of Phase 2 of our teaching practice. All teacher trainees shared their excitement for the next phase of teaching. Some trainees had received a class change from Phase 1. We were also reminded that Phase 2 observation would begin on Monday and that the next general reflective session would be held at the college on the coming Saturday. Our teacher provided us with guidance and essential instructions and further reminded us to complete our work. The session concluded at 8:00 p.m.

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II : WEEK 1 Wednesday to Friday : 08/10/2025 to 10/10/2025 REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE   DAY 1: Wednesday, 08/10/2025 Today was the first day of my teaching Practice Phase 2. We were assigned duty for the Sub-District Science Fest at GHSS Yeroor. Following the AEO's instructions, we reached the school by 8:30 AM. By 8:45 AM, we received instructions on how to invigilate the different programs. All college juniors and seniors on duty were there. We signed the duty list and received our tasks. I was allotted to the elocution competition for the UP, HS, and HSS sections. Sandhya teacher gave us the instructions. My team included Aparna, Ameena, and Krishna Priya (a junior). We took the students to one room for seating and began registration, giving out chest numbers. The competition was held in another room with two judges present.   TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 10: Monday  (06/10/2025 ) and Tuesday(07/10/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE  Day 49 (06/10/2025) We reached school by 11:15 a.m. as we came after attending the reflection session in our college. After meeting the Headmaster, we signed the attendance register. During the 4th period , I had a substitution class in 8B , where I presented my innovative work – a comic book . The students were very excited to see it. I explained the story and asked them what they understood from it. The comic helped them learn more about the topic Plant Tissues (Parenchyma, Collenchyma, and Sclerenchyma) in a fun and creative way. The students read it bench-wise and were thrilled to touch and explore the book. After that, we served lunch to the students. In the 5th period , I got a substitution class in 7B , where I made the students read the textbook. WEEKEND GENERAL REFLECTION: Week 9 October 06, 2025, we held a reflection session at Sabarigiri College from 9.45 a.m. to 11.00 am in the general hall. The session was attended by our teachers Sreedevi Miss, Meenu Miss, Revathy Miss,Shamla Miss, Jaseena Miss, Rakhi Miss, and Shyam Sir.  The general reflection session was started by Summaya from Ayur Jawahar School , who shared that completing the portions was a bit challenging due to the lack of class hours. Then, Gopika from Karukone GHSS shared her experiences in a positive manner. Bhavya from Puthayam School mentioned that she had successfully completed all her topics. Vineetha from Yeroor School also shared her classroom experiences. Malavika from Karavaloor GHSS shared her valuable experiences from her school. Unnimaya from GHSS West expressed that it was a wonderful experience to witness the Kalolsavam celebrations in their school. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 9: Monday  (29/09/2025 ) to Saturday (04/10/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE  Day 43: Monday (29/09/2025) We, the teacher trainees, reached school by 9:30 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the first and second periods, I had no classes. In the third period, the Physical Education teacher asked me to take the 8B students to the ground for PT. I organized some games for them and also practiced a few yoga postures. In the 4th period, I got a substitution in my concerned class, 8B , and I taught the topic Vascular or Complex Tissues in Plants – Peculiarities and Functions . After that, we served lunch to the students. During the 7th period, I again got substitution in 8B and taught the topic Meristematic Tissues and Types of Meristematic Tissues – Peculiarities and Functions .
