 VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION - DRUTA UNION Valentine's Day is a celebration of love, friendship, and togetherness, and this year, we marked the occasion with a delightful program at our college. The event took place in the general hall at 9:45 am, with teachers, seniors, and first-year students gathering to enjoy the festivities. The program was anchored by Ammu Lekshmi, who kept the energy high and the audience engaged throughout. The celebration began with a beautiful fusion of romantic songs, performed by Pooja, Reeba, Anju, Ashna, Prathibha, and me. The melodies created an enchanting atmosphere, setting the perfect tone for the day.   RAISING AWARENESS ON INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY DAY On February 12, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education celebrated International Epilepsy Day, a global event aimed at raising awareness about epilepsy. The program began with Arathi as the anchor, welcoming everyone and setting the tone for the day’s activities. Aparna delivered an insightful speech, explaining epilepsy as a neurological condition that affects people of all ages and backgrounds, making them prone to recurrent seizures. She highlighted the importance of awareness and support for those living with the condition. The event included a powerful awareness play, performed by Pooja, Muhsina, Arya, Akshaya, Nuju, Ameena, and Aparna. The play depicted the dos and don’ts when witnessing an epileptic seizure. It educated the audience on how to stay calm, protect the person from injury, and ensure they are placed safely on their side once the seizure phase is over. NATIONAL WOMENS DAY

CELEBRATING NATIONAL WOMENS DAY: HONOURING SAROJINI NAIDU On  February 13, 2025, we celebrated National Women’s Day in honor of Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India. The program was anchored by Arjun. Suja started by explaining the importance of the day. Then, Anju, dressed as Sarojini Naidu, gave a speech, reminding us of her contributions. Shifana presented a PowerPoint, showing women’s achievements and challenges throughout history.  The program continued with a mime performance by Unnimaya, Stephy, Prathiba, Soorya, Lakshmi, Silla, and Gloria. They used their silent acting to express the struggles women face in society. This powerful performance made everyone reflect on the need for change. Malavika ended the event with the vote of thanks, appreciating everyone’s efforts.  In the closing remarks, Arjun highlighted that women’s achievements should be celebrated every day. CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE February 11, 2025 To recognize the contributions of women in science, we, the teacher trainees of Sabarigiri College of Education, in association with NSS , celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11, 2025. The event, held at 9:45 AM in the General Hall, featured inspiring speeches, presentations, and interactive activities promoting gender equality in science. Anchored by Pooja, the event began with a warm welcome speech by Gopika. Jerin emphasized the need for gender equality in STEM, while Keerthy highlighted the achievements of pioneering women scientists.  A major highlight was the Science Room Escape Challenge , organized by Bhavya, Pooja, Alaka, and Devika.   WORLD CANCER DAY CELEBRATION AT SABARIGIRI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION February 04,2025 On February 4, 2025, Sabarigiri College of Education observed World Cancer Day as part of the NSS initiative to spread awareness about cancer. The event was hosted by Stephy and Gloriya, who ensured a smooth flow of the program. Prathibha delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the significance of cancer awareness and early detection. This was followed by an insightful speech by Priyatha Miss, who highlighted the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures for various types of cancer. A detailed PPT presentation was conducted by Unnimaya, Lekshmi, Arjun, Malavika, and Haseena, where each student discussed a specific type of cancer. Unnimaya spoke about bone cancer, Lekshmi explained brain cancer, Malavika discussed breast cancer, Haseena covered lung cancer, and Arjun presented on stomach cancer.
