FRESHERS DAY-2025

Freshers' Day Aagamanam - A Warm Welcome to Our Juniors! On August 25, 2025, our college, Sabarigiri College of Education, was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed our juniors with a grand Freshers' Day celebration, themed "Aagamana." We seniors divided ourselves into various committees - decoration, food, program, and cleaning - to ensure everything went smoothly. I was part of the decoration committee, and we transformed the general hall into a movie bazaar theatre ambiance. We decorated the entrance with a warm welcome message and Mollywood-themed dialogues that set the tone for the event. The stage was designed to resemble a movie set, complete with balloon-made popcorn and a clapboard. The entire hall was decked up to create a fantastic ambiance. GENERAL REFLECTION - WEEK 5

WEEKEND GENERAL REFLECTION: Week 5   August 18, 2025, we held a reflection session at Sabarigiri College from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the general hall. The session was attended by our principal, Roy Sir, along with Sreedevi Miss, Meenu Miss, Revathy Miss, Jaseena Miss, Rakhi Miss, and Shyam Sir. The session began with Joyce from Sabarigiri school, who shared her positive school experience. She felt she had significantly improved her personality, voice modulation, and classroom management skills, and had developed a strong bond with her first-standard students. Next, Jerin from Punalur St. Goretti shared how her teaching skills had improved and how the school effectively managed curricular and extracurricular activities. Ashna then spoke about her challenging yet insightful experience at Edamulackal Jawahar School. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 5: Monday  (11/08/2025 ) to Friday (16/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE Day 22: Monday (11/08/2025) On the 22nd day, we reached the school at 9:30 a.m. and signed the attendance register. After completing our morning discipline duty, we stayed in the allotted classrooms. I did not have any concerned class hours today. During the lunch break, we helped in serving food to the students.  In the 5th period, I got a substitution class in 8B , where I took an individual remedial session on Irrigation Methods . I used a modified lesson plan with more ICT-enabled learning aids, followed by a discussion of some model questions with the students. At 4:00 p.m., after marking our attendance, we left the school. Day 23: Tuesday (12/08/2025) On the 23rd day, we four teacher trainees reached the school at 9:30 a.m. and signed the register. After discipline duty in the HS section, we went to our staffroom. WEEKEND REFLECTION - WEEK 4

WEEKEND REFLECTION : WEEK 4 10/08/2025 Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education conducted our weekly reflection of the first phase of teaching practice on 10th August 2025, Sunday. The meeting was held online via Google Meet from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. The session began with each school’s representatives sharing their weekly reflections. First, Aparna presented her own and Pooja’s reflections from Karavaloor School. This was followed by Akshaya from Karukone School, who shared her week’s experiences in a positive manner. I also shared my classroom experiences for the week.  Next, Muhsina and Nuju from St. Goretti’s School shared their reflections, mentioning the challenges they faced due to a recent change in their concerned classes. Arya and Bhavana from Poredom School then shared their classroom experiences, followed by Ameena from Vayala School, who presented reflections for herself and Anuroop.   TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 4 : Monday (04/08/2025) to Friday (08/08/2025) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 04/08/2025-Day 17 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I reached the school by 9:00 am. After reporting to the office and signing the attendance register, I took up my assigned discipline duty in the High School section. Following the morning prayer, we settled in our allotted rooms. Since it was Monday, I did not have any subject hours scheduled. A little later, my concerned subject teacher, Renija Miss, entrusted me with the responsibility of completing the attendance register and the Noon Feeding attendance register for her class. This task was a new learning experience for me, as I wasn’t previously aware that a separate register existed specifically for noon feeding attendance. I successfully completed both registers. GENERAL REFLECTION-WEEK 3

  GENERAL REFLECTION On 2nd August 2025, we had our general reflection session as part of our Phase 1 teaching practice. The session was conducted in the presence of our Principal Dr. Roy Sir, Sreedevi Miss, Shamla Miss, Shyam Sir, and Rakhi Miss. Many students were absent. The reflection started at 11:00 a.m. in the general hall, with Roy Sir initiating the session by greeting us. The Principal explained the further schedule, informing us that we were allowed to stay in schools till 14th August and should complete our allotted chapters before then. He also mentioned that we were to report back to college on 18th August. Then, one student representative from each school was invited to share their experiences. TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 2: Monday ( 28/07/2025) to Friday (01/08/2025)   REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE   28/07/2025 – Day 12 We reached school before 9:30 a.m. as we were allotted discipline duty in the high school section. After the prayer, we signed the attendance register and sat in the allotted staffroom. I had no concerned class hour today. During the second period, I got a substitution in class 9B, but as it was a language period and many students were attending Sanskrit and Arabic classes, I could not take the lesson. At 12 p.m., we served lunch to UP and HS students. During the 5th and 6th periods, there was a photo session for students for ID cards, so Akshaya and I helped manage the students for the photographs. In the 7th period, HM asked me to conduct a Shastra Quiz, where I got the opportunity to read the questions for the students. Sneha Lakshmi and Devananda of class 10 won the 1st prize.
