  NATIONAL UNITY DAY OCTOBER 30, 2024 Every year, on October 31st, India observes National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Patel, famously known as the "Iron Man of India," played a crucial role in India’s struggle for independence and served as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India. His dedication to uniting the country and integrating the princely states into the Union of India earned him a lasting place in India’s history. On October 30th, our college celebrated National Unity Day to honor the life and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. A blog, short for weblog, is an online journal or platform that allows individuals to share their ideas, experiences, and expertise with a global audience. Recognizing the importance of this skill, our college organized a Blog Writing Preparation Class on October 16th, as part of the B.Ed. curriculum.   FIELD TRIP OCTOBER 10,2024 On October 10th, 2024, fifty-two teacher trainees, accompanied by our teachers and principal, embarked on an exciting field trip to several notable locations in Trivandrum. The trip, designed as part of our curriculum, offered an enriching experience beyond the confines of the classroom. The journey began early, with our bus departing from the college at 7:00 AM. Our first stop was the historic Kilimanoor Palace, which we reached by 8:40 AM. Known as the birthplace of the legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma, the palace gave us a glimpse into his life and artistry. We admired his remarkable paintings, as well as those of his sister, and explored the temple and serene surroundings, leaving with a sense of awe for their legacy. Next, we visited the Trivandrum Art Gallery, arriving by 10:40 AM. This gallery serves as a treasure trove of Raja Ravi Varma’s masterpieces.   CREDENZ CBSE Arts Fest 2024: A Memorable Experience OCTOBER 05,06 The CREDENZ CBSE Arts Fest 2024 of the Venad Sahodaya Complex was held on October 4 and 5 at Sabarigiri English School, Anchal. Fifty-three teacher trainees, including myself, participated in the event, divided into two groups. The first group, led by Unnimaya, had their duties on October 4, while I led the second group on October 5. On October 5, we reached the venue by 8:30 AM, where each trainee was assigned specific responsibilities. ID cards for the program committee were distributed. I was stationed at Stage 7, where competitions like Hindi recitation, elocution, and impromptu speech took place. My duties included assisting the teacher on duty, supporting the judges, assigning chess numbers, and providing topics for the impromptu speech participants. The experience was truly fulfilling. The activities included campus cleaning, an awareness program, tree plantation, cleaning of public spaces, house visits, and distribution of informational notices. These programs were efficiently coordinated by our NSS Program Officer, Jaseena Miss, ensuring their smooth execution and active participation from all students. Various committees, including program, decoration, food, and cleaning, were formed to ensure the event's success. Students arrived by 8:30 AM and began decorating the hall at 9:00 AM. Together, they created a beautiful Athapookalam and a miniature swing near the stage, setting a festive tone.  The celebration began at 11:00 AM, with the principal, teachers, staff, and students from both years gathered in the hall. The event, organized by second-year students, aimed to warmly welcome us the first-year students. The program began at 10:00 AM, filled with excitement. We arrived in creative costumes inspired by popular movie characters, adding color and energy to the celebration. The hall was beautifully decorated with vibrant posters of iconic movie characters. I was costumed as one of the three chocolate girls. Each and every one of first year students performed their characters. The event featured lively performances by the second-year students, including dances and songs. The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote the importance of a drug-free society through a variety of engaging activities. The program included a poster presentation, where students showcased their creativity and highlighted the harmful effects of drugs. The festivities began on August 15th with the flag hoisting by our Chairman, Dr. V.K. Jayakumar. The national anthem and patriotic songs filled the air, instilling a deep sense of pride among students, teachers, and staff. The celebration continued on August 16th with various programs, including speeches, quizzes, and group songs. Students from both first-year and second-year classes actively participated, showcasing their talents and knowledge of India’s rich history and freedom struggle. The event concluded with a sweet distribution, symbolizing the joy of freedom and unity. It was a meaningful celebration, reminding us of the sacrifices of our national heroes and the importance of preserving the values of independence.
